Special Services Coordinator
Background
Exeter Day School, a non-profit preschool located in Exeter, NH, is searching for a Special Services Coordinator to start in January 2025. The Special Services Coordinator for EDS will provide services and support for teachers in five different classrooms with students ranging from ages 2-5 regarding behavioral and educational needs. Important responsibilities include facilitation of collaboration and communication between EDS teachers, school leadership, parents, home districts, and outside agencies as needed. The Special Services Coordinator will serve as an integral part of the EDS staff, providing our students, teachers, and families with consistent behavioral strategies and plans for supporting each child’s individual needs in an inclusive community.
This is a part-time role.
Hours/Schedule: This role requires 6-10 hours per week with days of the week negotiable.
Salary: $75-$125 per hour, commensurate with experience.
This position begins January 6th through May 30th with opportunities to extend with mutual interest for the 2025-2026 school year.
Behavioral specialists, behavioral analysts (BCBA), special education teachers, special education coordinators, occupational therapists (OT), speech and language pathologists (SLP) or experienced early educators will all be strong fits for this role.
Responsibilities:

Provide classroom wide or individual behavior and educational consultative services to Exeter Day School staff, students, and parents

Provide behavioral and educational assessments as needed

Provide training and support plan implementation in the classroom with ongoing oversight and data collection

Provide help with data analysis and ongoing communication to the team to facilitate consistency

Observe students in educational settings for the purpose of providing/modeling evidence-based interventions and strategies for the development of functional and educational outcomes

Evaluate student progress on an ongoing basis and recommend intervention strategies to teachers and parents

Demonstrate/teach specialized strategies and/or provide topical professional development sessions for Exeter Day School teachers and staff

Assist school in identifying/adapting specialized instructional materials

Facilitate collaboration with parents and their home district

Ongoing communication with lead teachers and director

Maintain professionalism with families, teachers, and outside agencies as necessary

Maintain accurate and timely attendance logs

Perform other duties

Follow all Exeter Day School policies and procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts/Science in the field of Early Childhood Education or another child-related field.

Must have at least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare center.

Must complete the New Hampshire Health and Safety training, First Aid and CPR.

Must complete and pass a criminal background check.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
